Virtual Classes

We are THRILLED to announce the addition of virtual art classes! Odd times call for enhanced creativity, and that’s exactly what we’re going to offer you.

Each day from 11am – 12pm on our Facebook page and this website, we’ll upload a video of an art activity you can accomplish in the comfort of your own home. These virtual classes are designed to feature supplies you probably already have laying around. If you don’t, fear not! Sara will hand deliver any supply you need in order to complete the projects. Just send her an email or give her a call (contact information below) to get set up!

Mandala Drawings – It has been proven that colorful, repetitive drawing leads to decreased stress and increased relaxation. Mandala drawings do just that! Join us to learn this cool, fun, and relaxing art form.

Supplies Needed:

  • Paper
  • Pencil/pen/marker
  • Stencils

Tuesday, March 24 | 11:00 a.m.

Make your own Paint – Don’t have paint at home? No problem! In this class we’ll teach you how to make your own at home and do a sample painting when we’re done!

Supplies Needed:

  • Water
  • Flour
  • Food coloring
  • Mixing bowl
  • Paper
  • Paint brushes

Wednesday, March 25 | 11:00 a.m.

Glue Stained Glass – The easiest and most fun way to repurpose an old picture frame has arrived! Hang it in your window to bring some color and life to your home.

Supplies Needed:

  • Glue bottles (Elmers is suggested)
  • Glass (picture frames work great)
  • Food Coloring
  • Paint brushes or toothpicks

Raised Salt Painting – Salt painting is fun for all ages! Design with glue, cover in salt, and then just paint!

Supplies Needed:

  • Paper

  • Watercolor paint or food coloring

Friday, March 27 | 11:00 a.m.

Cardboard Door Hangers – Old boxes make great door hangers! Cut it out to be whatever shape you want and use your homemade paint from earlier in the week to paint and spruce up your front door.

Supplies Needed:

  • Scrap cardboard
  • Paint
  • Paint brushes
  • Tape (Masking tape or painters tape is suggested)

Monday, March 30 | 11:00 a.m.

Kindness Rocks – Kindness really does rock! In this class we’ll paint rocks with kind words, pretty patterns, and phrases. Keep them for yourself to enjoy, or visit a park and leave them for someone else to enjoy.

Supplies Needed:

  • Large rock
  • Tempura or acrylic paint
  • Cotton swabs or paint brushes

Tuesday, March 31 | 11:00 a.m.

Number Animals – In this class we’ll take classic numbers and create an animal drawing!

Supplies Needed:

  • Paper
  • Pen(s) one color, one black
  • Markers, crayons, paint, whatever you have on hand
  • Paint brushes (optional)

Wednesday, April 1 | 11:00 a.m.

Paper Lanterns – Light up your environment with a DIY paper lantern!

Supplies Needed:

  • Popsicle sticks
  • Bottle glue
  • Hot glue gun and glue sticks
  • Crayons, colored pencils, markers, paint, whatever you have on hand
  • LED flameless candle (or something similar, NOT a traditional candle)

Thursday, April 2 | 11:00 a.m.

Blow Painting – Using a straw, we’ll create germ paintings during this class. This is a great opportunity to teach your kiddos about germs and how we can stay safe from them.

Supplies Needed:

  • Paper
  • Straw
  • Watercolor paint
  • Markers (for faces)
  • Googly eyes (optional)

Friday, April 3 | 11:00 a.m.

Mason Jar Votives – Out with the old, in with the new. An old mason jar is the perfect medium for creating one-of-a-kind votives for your home!

Supplies Needed:

  • Mason jar or other empty glass container (pickle jar, vase, etc.)
  • Tissue paper
  • Bottle glue
  • Paint brush
  • LED flameless candle (you can try a traditional candle, but heating up the glue may cause it to deteriorate the tissue paper and we do not suggest this)
