So Much Fun Rolled Up Into One Summer

HAVE AN ART-TASTIC SUMMER!

We’ve got the supplies, all we need is you!

Beat those dog days of summer with some cool creativity! We are offering a full schedule of art opportunities with at least one class per week available all summer long. There’s something for everyone – toddlers through adults.

Kids can kick off summer vacation with our Super Slime class, which will feature a surprise of epic proportions. Our Magical Gardens class lets kids build their own miniature garden accessories and create their own fairy or wizard garden. We will have two clay classes – one for preschoolers and another for elementary-age students. Toddlers get their own special class in July with Toddler Team Up! And new this summer is Drop-In Art every Thursday in June and July. This weekly class will accommodate kids ages 2 through 12 with adaptable projects to fit each artist’s skill level. No registration is required, so come each week or when it fits into your schedule. We ask that a caregiver remain to assist young artists under 4 years of age.

Craft of Comics Class with Nathanial Hamel

We didn’t forget about our teens and adults. Fluid Art is our new workshop focusing on acrylic pour painting. This fun art form is perfect for beginners and experienced artists alike. Divots Brewery is partnering with us to present a summer edition of Beer 101 for adults who want to learn about the distinctive flavor notes and styles of beer. New this summer we are featuring The Craft of Comics, a hands-on workshop with comic artist and gallery owner Nathanial Hamel who will teach the art of storytelling and work one-on-one with students to hone their character designs.

Second Saturdays offer yet another way to get the whole family involved. In May we will explore preserving history by making rubbings from our urban and suburban landscapes, such as decorative manhole covers and commemorative bricks and plaques. June will feature the art of origami, and July is the debut of ArtStock, our open-air art market featuring local artists and artisans.

If you enjoyed Toddler Team Up this spring, you’ll love Drop-In Art. This class is designed for all ages and groups and requires no registration. As the name states, just drop in!

See you this summer!
