As spring (slowly) emerges, the Norfolk Arts Center is excited to once again announce its spring concert – this time with benefits going toward two local art scholarships for kids. The event will kick off Friday, April 27 at 5:30 p.m. as the doors of The Stables open with a cocktail hour, followed by a “Spring Chicken” dinner, prepared by Chef Kirk Kollath, served at 6:00 p.m. The highlight of the evening will feature local musicians of the Northeast Area Jazz Ensemble playing a lively line up that will entice attendees to hit the dance floor.
Proceeds from the event will go toward the Northeast Area Jazz Ensemble’s and the Norfolk Arts Center’s scholarship funds. Both groups have funds in place to help young art enthusiasts in the area continue their education and follow their dreams via the arts. To inquire about applying, or for more information on either of these scholarships, please contact Kevin McClouth at Northeast Community College or Kara Weader-Gaster at the Norfolk Arts Center.
Deadline to purchase tickets for the event is Friday, April 20. Tickets are $48 for NAC members and $60 for the public and can acquired either HERE or by stopping by the NAC located at 305 North 5th Street in Norfolk. Dinner is included with ticket purchase.
This springtime event, now in its fourth year, is looked forward to by the community as a unique experience and seasonal favorite in Norfolk. The Norfolk Arts Center’s performing arts committee works hard to find a high quality and electric performances each year to feature in Norfolk.
Come dressed to move as following dinner the Northeast Area Jazz Ensemble will play fabulous live music that is sure to have you out of your seats and on the dance floor. This band is comprised of local jazz fanatics whose talent is second to none!
