The Norfolk Arts Center is seeking an outgoing and passionate individual for the Program Coordinator position. The Program Coordinator oversees all aspects of the Norfolk Arts Center’s (NAC) programs; including all schedules and details related to our visual arts, performing arts, special events and arts education programs. Candidate will handle events from start to finish and be the primary point of contact between contractors, actors, teachers, volunteers, interns, among other individuals and organizations. He/She/They will assist with marketing and advertising of the programs and organization and will help to develop and implement campaigns as needed. The Program Coordinator is also responsible for assisting with the implementation of all policies of the Norfolk Arts Center (NAC) for the benefit of the organization and its members.
The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in Program Management, Marketing, Graphic Design, Hospitality, Art History, Education, Non-Profit Management, Museum Studies or suitable education in these or closely allied fields or a combination of related education and experience. Candidate must be a creative and innovative thinker, be self-sufficient in accomplishing duties, be an excellent communicator and possess substantial experience in working with the public. He/She/They must be detail oriented and share a passion for NAC’s mission “Bringing People and the Arts Together,” to play an active role in broadening NAC’s community impact to promote the arts in our community.

CONTRACT ART INSTRUCTOR
If you are a fun, energetic person who loves working with children and adults and shares a passion for the arts, this job is for you!! The Norfolk Arts Center is a non-profit organization offering art classes to pre-K through adults. A teaching certificate is NOT required.
You will teach experienced based classes to children and adults. Classes vary by season and dates and times are flexible. Multiple positions are open for individuals looking to work with a specific age group. We provide supplies and the curriculum. You will supply the enthusiasm and fun!
Requirements:
1) Experience working with groups of pre-school, grade school children, and/or adults. A teaching certificate is NOT required.
2) Must have reliable transportation (valid driver license and car insurance).
Please include a resume or brief description of your qualifications including your experience working with children. Also include your address (or main cross streets). Please let us know how many hours you would like to work and the days you are available.

Graphic Design
Create marketing materials (print and web based) for events such as gallery openings, theater performances and educational classes. Carry themes of existing projects to create work to be used on social media and our website. Build off the Norfolk Arts Center’s brand to produce pieces for the catalog, newsletter, blog and website, among other things.
Additional office duties include but are not limited to: assisting with gallery hangs, attending events, greeting visitors and answering phones.
Knowledge of both PC and Mac
Familiar with the following software
Adobe products such as InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
Microsoft Office: Word and Excel
Familiar with WordPress (preferred but not required)
Business Marketing
Build and manage the company’s social media profiles and presence, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube
Create shareable content appropriate for specific networks to spread both our brand and our content.
Assist in organizing and processing memberships.
Register visitors for educational classes and process sales transactions.
Create slide shows and video clips for social media and website.
Interest in data management
Organized with strong communication skills
Enjoy working with the public
Self-motivated with a positive attitude
