Norfolk Area Big Give is a 24-hour period of giving where Norfolk area supporters are invited to give back to their favorite local charities and educate themselves on other non-profits in our community.
This year we are raising money to help with all aspects of our summer exhibition “The Road I Call Home” by Randy Bacon. This exhibit presents portraits featuring simple, direct, casual studio portraits of homeless individuals. These portraits emphasize the beauty, identity, and integrity of each person and is accompanied by a narrative, as told by the subject, sharing their personal story of homelessness. The goal of this project is to bring awareness to our homeless communities and convey a simple message according to the Artist – “That we’re all one-of-a-kind special people and every single one of us matters.”
Norfolk Area Big Give will run from midnight to midnight on Tuesday, May 25, 2021. New this year will be the ability to give a pre-gift starting on May 17. With this change, our hope is to engage even more people in the spirit of generosity that this event celebrates
