Students in grades 5-8 are invited to the Norfolk Arts Center to engage in this activity that promotes unity, welcoming, and partnership. Students will work with a partner and be challenged to pick a hand gesture that two people do when they interact. Then, working together, they will create body casts of hand gestures made of packing tape.
Parents often think that it’s their job to make their children be a normal citizen. They think it makes them a good parent to have their children “fit in” with society. How much have you bought the idea that your job is to be like everybody else? Is it really? How much of you, your capacities and your creativity do you have to cut off so that you don’t appear too different? How many lies have you bought about you and who and what you are? Would you like to get out of those judgements and lies and into truly honoring you? We have a dynamic and fun class planned full of amazing tools for you to have and use in the trenches of life.
Class hosted by certified Access Bars Facilitator Tiffany Tichota
Cost: $40 per individual class or $140 for Full Course of 4 classes
